So I've begun to wonder, are the images of the people reflected in my photographs acting as eyes and ears to signal the red pens when the coast is clear to evacuate the premise? Maybe the lamp is lighting the pathway for those early mornings when the sun can't quite peak in through the blinds.
But then I caught them one day!
My schedule had deviated from it's normal routine due to a cancellation. I had opened up my door and felt a small crunch under my foot. My eyes glanced down and I moved my foot from the obstacle. Surprise, surprise! There was one of my red pens. I knew something had to be up when a 25 pack of red pens had reduced itself down to 5 under the course of a single semester.
My gaze wandered further up and I could see anxiousness from my black lamp. It quickly hobbled into it's previous position and turned away. Ha, like I couldn't hear that ruckus.
So as a tip to all of you, if you're missing pens and there is 0 probable cause for them to have gone missing the truth is they might be trying to runaway from you.
