Exploration #2: Experience Collection
For my blog post, I wanted to talk about my experience when I went to the play, Oliver. I work at ECCO and decided today that I wanted to take one of my people supported to the play. He is a huge fan of musicals and I knew he would enjoy it. I've never been to a DSU play so I was able to notice many new things. The first thing I saw was people. When I got there, the doors into the theater wasn't open yet so there was a huge line of people in the lobby of the playhouse. When the doors did open, I noticed some of the children that were playing orphans in the musical were standing by the doors holding out hats for donations. I found that sightly humorous and wondered if they made the kids do that on purpose. When I stepped into the theater, I realized that it was much bigger than I expected it to be. It was really nice and the set for the play was great! During the play, I noticed how well the actors knew there stuff because they were always on time with the music, they played their emotions to their character perfectly, and they knew where they were supposed to go during a scene change. Leaving the theater, I noticed everyone being in a happy and impressed mood after seeing the play.
