Every day object or Unique Item?

Looking around, I was having a hard time figuring out what I should describe. What do I use every day? Browsing around, I started moving my mouse around when it hit me. My mouse  is an object that I use every day. Grabbing my mouse, I look at the top of it. Looking at the lines all over it, I think that it looks like a white city map with gray streets. It looks really cool! Upon further investigation though, I turn the mouse over, and it IS a city map! My life outlook has been changed! It is backwards though, so you have to be looking at it from a different angle to even see it. Along the top of the mouse the streets run to the skyline then turn into skyscrapers. This baffles my mind! I have never noticed this at all! Along the sides, it is covered in rubber. Etched into the rubber is the continuation of the streets, moving all along the mouse, wrapping around the front. It looks like that it tries to coincide with the street signs along the top. This object that I see every day, has its own story just waiting to be told. What else can be waiting on the outskirts of our perception that we just need to focus a little bit on, to reveal the story within.

  1. I love the last line. It's very thought provoking. And all this deep insight over a computer mouse! I would have never thought about it if you hadn't mentioned it.
